Jamie Lano, a self-taught manga artist from Seattle has, through hard work and persistency, turned her hobby into a career. A long-time fan of the ‘Prince of Tennis‘ manga series, Jamie is now working with Takeshi Konomi, the artist and author of this hit series on the sequel.
But that’s not all – Jamie also writes a column for the Asahi Weekly, and can now be seen presenting Pop’n’ Press on Asahi TV.
In this interview, Jamie talks about how she got where she is today, and offers advice for others wanting to become professional manga artists.
