Takahanada, who was the youngest of the two became champion early in his career and was known to get as many as 40 envelopes in a match but Chionofuji (the wolf) had the record at that time for 51 envelopes at one match. This is at the time that the Hawaiians were so popular, Akebono, Konishiki and Msashimaru. Some of the big matches at the end of the tournament can feature more than 30 such envelopes. Thanks for the video guys. It was fun to watch.
